What BigSpy is

BigSpy is an ad intelligence tool that lets marketers search competitors’ ads, creatives and landing pages across Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads and AdMob, YouTube, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Yahoo, Unity, Pangle and AppLovin. Media buyers, dropshippers, app marketers and agencies use it to find winning creatives and research products. The affiliate agreement is a contract with BigMData, the operator behind BigSpy, and the program runs in-house from bigspy.com rather than through a network. BigSpy says more than 300,000 customers have tried the tool and puts average customer lifetime value at about $500.

Offers and verticals

Affiliates promote BigSpy subscriptions. Current pricing runs from the Starter plan at $69 per month ($49 per month billed annually) through Growth at $159, Scale at $399 for five seats and Ultimate at $499 per month, with annual billing cheaper on every tier. Newer features include AI creative-to-prompt tools, video copy recognition and playable ad research. The product sells to almost anyone who buys ads, in any country: e-commerce stores, dropshippers, app publishers, affiliate media buyers and agencies.

Commission models and payouts

BigSpy pays at least 20% lifetime recurring commission on each full-price payment made by a referred user. When a customer pays a discounted price, commission drops by the same percentage as the discount. Annual billing is shown at roughly 25% to 30% below the monthly price, so affiliates should ask whether annual plans count as discounted before forecasting earnings. At 20%, a Growth subscriber on monthly billing is worth about $31.80 per month for as long as the subscription runs.

The minimum payout is $50, and last month’s commission is paid the following month via PayPal, the primary payout method; other payout options may be declined. The agreement adds that qualifying commission can only be withdrawn after 30 days, refunds and chargebacks void it, and BigSpy may postpone payment until at least two different users have been referred. Commission amounts can be changed at any time, with current figures shown in the affiliate dashboard. Accounts inactive for six months with $50 or less can be removed and the balance forfeited. Fees and conversion costs fall on the affiliate.

Tracking, tools and platform

Referrals are tracked with a 60-day cookie on the affiliate’s unique link. The referred user has to create a BigSpy account within 60 days of the click, and commission is still paid if the subscription comes later. A user who first registers through another affiliate’s link, or with no link, earns nothing for a later purchase through a different link. Affiliates get links and codes tied to their affiliate ID. The program FAQ says no special promo materials are provided and partners should promote with text and URLs, even though the agreement refers to banners in the dashboard. Postback, API and sub-ID reporting are not documented.

Traffic rules and compliance

The agreement is strict about search and cookie behavior. Banned practices include:

• PPC bidding on BigSpy brand terms, misspellings or coupon and discount phrases
• Domains containing BigSpy or variations of the name
• Spam, unsolicited commercial email and posting to non-commercial newsgroups
• Pop-ups, pop-unders, iframes, toolbars, parasiteware or any cookie set without a clear click
• Fake “click to see coupon” buttons, rebates and commission kickbacks
• Self-referrals, including immediate family and the affiliate’s employer
• Doorway pages and sites that imitate BigSpy

Affiliate sites may not promote adult content or gambling, including casinos, sportsbooks and poker, which rules out many betting affiliates. Only one affiliate account is allowed, though several domains can be listed under it. Email promotion is limited to the affiliate’s own opted-in subscribers.

Who it suits

BigSpy suits marketing bloggers, YouTube educators, dropshipping and e-commerce course creators, and agencies whose audiences already spend on ads and need creative research. Lifetime recurring commission rewards long-lived content such as tutorials and tool comparisons. It is a poor fit for brand-bidding PPC affiliates, coupon and cashback sites, gambling or adult publishers, and anyone who needs bank, crypto or weekly payouts.
