What TrafficJunky is

TrafficJunky is the in-house advertising network of Aylo, the company behind Pornhub, YouPorn, Redtube and Tube8. Founded in Montreal in 2008, it sells ad space on those sites through a self-serve CPM bidding platform. Advertiser contracts are with Aylo Freesites Ltd, based in Nicosia, Cyprus, under Cypriot law. It is a traffic source, not an affiliate network: advertisers and media buyers prepay for impressions and send the traffic to their own offers, and no commissions are paid on conversions. TrafficJunky says Pornhub alone draws more than 133 million daily visitors and that the network reaches over 125 countries.

Inventory, formats and verticals

Placements include display banners (squares, in-player, header, footer and under-player units, and full-page interstitials), native static and rollover units at 640×360, in-stream and out-stream video of 5 to 30 seconds, pop-unders, and Shorties, a vertical 9:16 format on Pornhub. A DSP connects to the TrafficJunky exchange for programmatic buying of video, display and audio.

The inventory is adult, so the natural fits are adult dating, cams, adult games, sexual wellness and other products aimed at an adult audience. Every ad must pass the Rules and Regulations, and misleading creatives such as fake close buttons, hidden pricing, false product claims or images that do not match the product are rejected.

Pricing, deposits and billing

Buying is CPM only, with live bids set manually or automatically, and CPC is not offered. Autopilot can optimize toward a CPA goal, but billing stays per thousand impressions. Flat-rate deals exist only for proven products and go through businessdev@trafficjunky.com. Accounts are prepaid: funds load before campaigns go live and the balance is drawn down as impressions serve, with daily budgets capped or left unlimited.

Funding options sit under Finance, Account Funding, and include Paxum, wire transfer, SEPA and crypto. ID or company verification is required before the first deposit. VAT applies in the EU, UK, Ukraine and Cyprus unless a valid VAT number is on file, and impressions served in Washington State carry local tax. No minimum deposit is published. Refunds of unspent funds are discretionary, are not processed for balances under $50 or for purchases older than 12 months, and bonuses and promo credits are never refunded, so deposits are best treated as committed spend.

Tracking, tools and platform

Conversion tracking is built into the member area under Tools, Tracking Tools, Conversion Tracker, with three integration options: an HTML pixel, server-to-server postback using the ACLID click ID, or Google Tag Manager. Dynamic tokens and UTM parameters pass placement data to trackers. Targeting covers countries, regions and cities (up to 30 per campaign), keywords from video tags and searches, device, OS, ISP, browser and language, gender, zip codes in the US, Canada and Japan, US income and neighborhood, custom segments and retargeting, plus scheduling in Eastern Time and frequency caps.

Ad rules and compliance

The compliance team reviews ads daily in submission order, and rejection reasons are emailed per site and spot. Animation is allowed within fast-animation limits, and iframes are reserved for advertisers with a strong compliance record. Accounts not logged into for six months become Inactive while campaigns keep spending, and refund requests are void for anyone distributing malware or malicious scripts.

Support and getting started

Sign-up is free, asks for name, email, country and password (or a LinkedIn, Google or PayPal login) and needs no credit card. Support works Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm EST, through support@trafficjunky.com and the contact form, which also handles EU DSA inquiries. A referral program rewards advertisers based on the spend of clients they refer, paid only in TrafficJunky credits rather than cash, with the rate shown in the account.

Who it suits

TrafficJunky suits advertisers and media buyers with adult offers who want direct access to some of the largest adult sites, granular targeting and reliable S2S tracking. It requires a compliant funnel, verified identity and enough budget to compete for premium placements. It is the wrong choice for affiliates seeking commission payouts, mainstream advertisers, and buyers whose landers depend on aggressive or misleading creatives, which the review team rejects.
